Issue 8

Letter from the Editor

Dear Readers,

What a time to be alive. That’s it. That’s all I got.

There are a few exciting things happening with TwistiT Press! Preorders have begun for Juliette Sebock’s Boleyn. The chapbook released May 19, 2020!

For centuries, Anne Boleyn has been disparaged despite the strength she displayed in a patriarchal society. Juliette Sebock weaves primary sources into her manuscript to follow the relationship between Henry VIII and Anne – their courtship, turbulent marriage, and her heartbreaking execution.

Boleyn is the chapbook that finally gives Anne Boleyn the voice and justice she deserves.

Because we know this time is a financial mystery for many, we’ve marked down all books 20%. There is no coupon needed. So if you can, preorder a copy of Boleyn!

Or if you’re looking for a more immediate read, we have the following in stock: Odd list Odd house Odd me by Elisabeth Horan, Zglevians on the Move by Roppotucha Greenberg, FLUTTER: southern gothic fever dream by Kristin Garth, and Doing Time by Craig Rodgers!

With everything happening in the world, now is the perfect time to sit back and snuggle up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate while your fur-baby demands attention. As my littlest is doing right this very moment – insisting that giving him scratchies is my main priority.

Obviously, it is.

If you prefer to curl up with tea or coffee or water (or some kind of alcoholic beverage – I won’t judge), please do. I hope this issue makes this difficult time just a little bit better. Even if it’s only for a few minutes.

Inside this issue, we have a wealth of incredible reads! Stories that can transport you to a faraway time, both past and present. Poems that dive into moments filled with happiness and grief. Fantasy and history and reality. This issue has it all. And I am so excited to bring it to you!

Prepare to be taken on a journey to somewhen!

Warmly,

Renee Firer
