Here We Are by Ed Ahern

What can be said or done
About what hasn’t happened?
Yet living in the moment
turns away the inner eye
from anticipated pleasures
and awaited fears.
If we portray ourselves
as what we wish to be,
perhaps we need to worry
just a little more about
where the hell we are.
